THE STORY

2018

How did it all start?

In 2018, I found myself in a foreign country, chasing a dream after learning English just a year before. On the first day of what I thought would be the rest of my life, I faced my first challenge: a Business Math class. It was a shock. With my limited English, I struggled to grasp advanced mathematics at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. Despite studying tirelessly, I failed all my courses.

The stars align:

Dreams are meant to be chased, right? During those endless hours of studying, I relied heavily on coffee (and sometimes energic drinks). But the caffeine came at a cost. The initial boost soon gave way to a "caffeine crash," leaving me more tired and anxious, caught in a vicious cycle of needing more coffee just to stay awake.

My roommate understood my struggle; he had faced the same issues with his studies and had been researching nootropics during his PhD in chemistry. He recommended I try some natural nootropic supplements.

Taking his advice, I ordered the pills and started the new academic year with renewed determination. Finally, I began passing my courses with genuinely good grades.

Where It All Started Making Sense:

I finally made it, I finished my Bachelor’s and started my Master’s degree. One day, while studying for an exam at the university’s cafeteria, I realized I’d forgotten my nootropic pills. I looked around for something that could fuel my brain, help me think clearly, and keep me relaxed. But all I found were sugary drinks and caffeine-loaded options, not exactly ideal for cognitive performance. That’s when it hit me: Why isn’t there something that boosts focus and supports brain function?

So, I decided that this problem needed to be solved

Our First Product:

My Master’s thesis focused on nootropic beverages, and in my research, I discovered that having a healthy gut significantly benefits brain health. On the flip side, alcohol? Not so much. It’s like your brain’s kryptonite, dehydrating it and messing with your sleep.

The literature highlighted Kombucha, known for promoting gut health through its probiotics, which in turn supports mental well-being. However, I knew something was still missing

Then, during a visit, my brother mentioned he’d stopped drinking alcohol for a month and found that the options at bars were either sugary drinks, plain water, or non-alcoholic beer (which is just empty calories) not very inspiring. That’s when it hit me: kombucha is a fermented drink, just like beer.

After a year of experimenting and brewing, a kombucha beer that actually tastes like beer was perfected! It’s a drink that lets you enjoy the moment with friends, (join the party) and still be the best version of yourself, both now and in the future.
